Built From The Ground Up, By People Like You!
Distinct Storage was born out of frustration—specifically, Heather’s frustration. After one too many awful storage experiences (think bad lighting, worse customer service, and nowhere to plug in your phone), she decided enough was enough. So she built something better.
She’s joined by her husband Paul (a proud Roxbury native), their 8-year-old son Jackson (future mayor of snack quality control), and Ella, their 1-year-old puppy and unofficial greeting committee. You might even spot the whole crew cruising through town in their delightfully beat-up red pickup, “Ole Red,” handing out candy canes and holiday cheer from a truck so lit it could guide Santa’s sleigh.

Heather and Paul live just 7 minutes from the facility and stop by daily to keep things running smoothly (and to restock the snacks). Unlike those big corporate chains where the “owner” lives three states away and thinks your name is “Unit 204,” we’re right here—real people, real community, real quick if you need us.

Let’s face it—most storage facilities are designed by people who clearly never had to use one. Not us. Every feature at Distinct Storage exists because Heather and her family experienced how storage shouldn’t be—and decided to do the opposite. That’s how you end up with something… well, Distinct.
Amenities You Didn’t Know You Needed
We don’t nickel-and-dime you for stuff that should be standard. Our move-in truck? Free. Wi-Fi? Everywhere. Phone charging stations? Every floor. Coffee? Fresh-ground. Snacks? Plentiful. Bathroom?
